The two fund offerings, the International Diversified and International Growth, are based on the company’s existing diversified fund which is available in the UK.
The products were developed specifically for SIG’s parent company, Old Mutual International, in order to provide its clients with an enhanced regulatory framework, investment transparency of their funds as well as a reduction in the total cost of investing.
John Ventre, manager of the two new funds and the Skandia Diversified Fund, said: “Skandia Investment Group has a strong track record and significant capability in multi-asset multi manager investment.
“Our existing diversified fund continues to leverage our renowned expertise in fund manager selection and our successful asset allocation capabilities to deliver strong long-term returns to investors, so it is great that we can extend these benefits more broadly in South Africa.
“This gives a much larger number of investors access to multi-asset solutions which not only deliver low cost, but come with an impressive longterm track record.”
